Email Security Alert
This is not only an alert but a reminder:
1) These Emails usually contain a link indicating whether you have read the alert. Those responses are tracked for management review.
2) Reading does not include skipping to the bottom and completing the form. Some staff members have responded to phishing and viral Emails, even though they are clearly bogus and we have issued alerts on them. We are tracking responses from staff to phishing Emails as we then have to follow up to make sure that no security protocols were violated.
Please be more vigilant as responding to phishing and/or viral Emails will, at some point, compromise the security of PSAB.
Here is the most recent phishing attempt. The concern here is if this was or is being sent to members. The message is clearly bogus, however, if PSAB staff responds to it, we can be fairly certain that some of the members would do so as well. Once again, please do not discuss this with members, however, if a member contacts you concerning an Email, please notify IT for instructions before responding.
If you have any questions about an Email, please ask before responding.
