How to Read Your SEO Ranking Report
Your Ranking Report shows the position your website will appear in Google’s search results for each keyword being tracked.
CourseVector utlizes third party software to track your keywords and the ranking report you see is generated as such. Below is a guide on how to read your report and why it is important for your SEO campaign.
Reading Your SEO Ranking Report
Graphs – Page 2
The first two graphs on the page, “Moves” and “Distribution” can be ignored. The graph to focus on is your “Averages” graph. This graph shows how your average rankings of the keywords being tracked are performing over time.
Ranks – Page 3+
Page 3 and beyond of your ranking report shows how your keywords are ranking and where they will appear in Google’s search engine results pages. A keyword rank of 3 for example means that the keyword will appear 3rd in Google’s organic search results. This stops tracking your rankings for any ranking above 100 as at that point, your keyword is considered to be “unranked”. This report color coordinates rankings for convienience: Dark Grey indicates 100 (or uranked), Red indicates ranks 99-11, Yellow indicates ranks 10-4, and Green indicates 3-1.
Why a SEO Ranking Report is Important
This report is important for your SEO campaign with CourseVector as it helps show where your website is ranking in the search results for particular keywords. The lower the number, the better as the higher you will appear in Google’s (and other search engines) search results. The higher you appear, the more traffic to your site. The more traffic to your site, the more leads you will recieve.
