Increase Security with Secure Messaging

More and more businesses need to send and receive sensitive information within their day-to-day operations. Email is not secure. So, how do you send and receive PII and other sensitive information safely? CourseVector’s Secure Messaging System may be the answer!

What is PII?

Personally Identifiable Information (PII), technically speaking, is “information that can be used to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context” (Wikipedia). Simply put, it is PII “when it can be reasonably linked to a particular person, computer, or device” (FTC). The definition of PII is ever-changing, and varies from state to state. It can be used on its own or with other information. PII can also be sensitive or not. Sensitive PII is unique to an individual and might include account numbers, social security number, or driver’s license number.

Data breaches can happen when sensitive information is sent via insecure means, like via email, among other unfortunate mistakes. Help to prevent a data breach within your organization by using a secure method to send sensitive data.
