How to use RoudCube and set up an email client

CourseVector’s will only provide help for the Roundcube Webmail Client. Our Email system will support most, if not all, Email clients and mobile devices such as Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple mobile devices, Android mobile devices, etc. However, CourseVector will not provide help for those devices and clients. If you are considering using the Email server that comes with your hosting package and you do not want to use Roundcube, we suggest that your check with your IT administrator to make sure that he/she can setup and support the devices or clients that you wish to run.

If you are in need of professional Email service and support we would suggest:

Google Suite is our top suggestion as they offer support with their Basic service, which at the time of this writing, was priced at $6 per month per user.

If you are already using Microsoft Office365 or are considering doing so, their offering was priced at $5 per month per user, however the support options are not clearly defined.

As an alternative, we have seen some good reviews about Just Answer.  The site provides inexpensive paid support and as long as you have the access/logon information provided to you for your account, their online technicians should be able to support most Email clients.

Please take the time to review this document and the associated links to fully understand what is and is not provided with your hosting/Email package.

This link will provide you with documentation on the use of Roundcube.  Should you have additional questions, please send an Email to  It is helpful if you reference the page of the manual you are having trouble with as well as a screen shot of the issue, if possible.

Where is the spell checker?
Roundcube does not have a built in spell checker.  Depending on the browser you are using, spell check is often built-in to a browser or can be added with a spell check addon. If you’re using Internet Explorer for example, you can try the free addon ieSpell or the Google Toolbar which includes spell check. In Firefox, spell check is built-in and can be enabled by selecting “Check my spelling as I type” under Tools > Options > General.

How do I make text bold, use larger text, underline, change text color. etc.?
