Is your printer at risk?
Hackers haven’t forgotten about your printer. Make sure it’s protected like the rest of the devices connected to your network.
- Change the default password.
- Keep the firmware up-to-date.
It’s also important to remember not to leave sensitive documents sitting on a printer unattended. Requiring users to use an ID card or enter a PIN to retrieve their documents is an added layer of security. IP filtering is another way to keep malicious actors off your printers.
