After the May 2020 Windows 10 update, many Gmail users were complaining about disappearing email. As of June 27, Google confirmed that this is an issue with the Windows update and not a Gmail issue. Therefore, users must wait for the next Windows update to see a fix.
Temporary Fix
To fix the issue in the interim, Gmail users must adjust Gmail settings.
- Gmail.com > Settings > Filters and blocked addresses > Create a new filter
- In ‘From’ field enter your address
- Click ‘Create filter’
- On the next page, select ‘Never send it to Spam’
- Click ‘Create filter’
